Jennifer is particularly interested in the writer as producer model and has mentored students on this model, in addition to her own work.
2019 – present: Literary Director at Sphinx Theatre, the UK’s longest established women’s theatre company, including designing and leading the Sphinx Lab, a new programme to support female professional playwrights in the UK.
2017 – present: Director of Art School, the new company supporting the education sector and arts industry to work together to improve and protect arts education.
2016 – present: Director of University Women in the Arts with the Women of the Future Programme, Tonic Theatre, Sphinx Theatre Company and others
2015 – present: Director of London Writers’ Week, the writing version of London Fashion Week, to provide access to and showcase the best new ideas going on in new writing in the UK
2016 – 2017: co-creator and Director of The Student Guide to Writing: Playwriting with the Bush Theatre and Oberon Books
2013 – 2014 Director of The Year of Experimentation, a year long investigation into what dramatic writing training can be in the UK
2013 – 2014: Breakdowns, the UK’s first student digital storytelling experiment
2012 – 2013: The Alligator Club, a year long investigation of new writing in the North West

2011: Write by the Quays, a celebration of the opening of MediaCityUK in partnership with BBC Writersroom
2010: Co-founder and co-Chair of The Alligators, the sister group of The Antelopes for North West professional playwrights. Creator and producer of Skill Swaps and Question Swaps in this role.
